The Role – Technical Services Project Infrastructure Engineer (Level 1)

Description

Due to growth across our Managed Services Business Unit, we are currently seeking to add talent to the team. This is an opportunity for a hardworking self-motivated candidate who is looking to progress within their current role.

Key Area of Responsibility:

  • Complete tasks independently and to a high standard, following a specified schedule and to an agreed specification.
  • Undertake key tasks and responsibilities proactively ensuring the efficient and complete resolution of projects
  • Provide the support team with a highly skilled and experienced resource when needed
  • Undertake self-paced and scheduled training and learning to ensure the team and the solutions they provide are of the best quality making use of the latest technologies and strategies
  • Work closely with the sales and account management teams to develop strategies and solutions
  • Deliver quality post project hand-over documentation and ongoing change control/compliance documentation

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Highly motivated and willing to take on tasks and responsibilities proactively 
  • Knowledge of infrastructure environments within Microsoft’s platforms
  • Experience of Networking and WINTEL environments
  • Data Migration projects including SharePoint, Exchange and OneDrive
  • Experience of post project support
  • M365 and supporting Networking technologies
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to independently build relationships across the business.
  • Must have experience of working within a busy technical team

Working Knowledge in the following technology areas:

  • M365 suite
  • Azure: virtual machines, virtual networks, Azure AD
  • Network technologies including TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP/DNS, Firewall etc.
  • Windows Server technologies (Active Directory Group Policies, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Certificate Services etc.)

Education and Qualifications will be keenly supported and encouraged

Short term goals MS-100, MS-101, AZ-900, AZ-104          

Long term goals AZ-500, AZ-303, AZ-304

Interpersonal Skills:

A high level of self-motivation together with a willingness to learn new skills

A flexible and enthusiastic approach to the job

Team Player

Good problem solving and decision-making skills

Can demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and care
